I like it! I think it pulls together the look of your blocks and brings interest and order to the outside of your quilt!

The quilt is not that busy, so the busy border works well. I think it looks great.

I like it with just the solid brown border, helps ground the quilt, gives the eye a place to rest as the rest of the quilt is quite busy. I just like to keep things simple, but if you really want to add a border I think the square within a square fabric would work nicely.

Good choice. I think it is just the right thing to tie it all together. I also like the brown narrow border. It works for me.

I agree with Sandra , the solid looking brown border looks better to me, allowing the crumb blocks to shine. The square in a square fabric competes with the charm of the meant-to-be wonky interior blocks. Just my opinion :).
I do think the square fabric would look fabulous on the back, or a large strip of it used on the back.

I vote yes.

I don't know if it's size of about 23 x 28 makes a difference or not, but I can see this going either way. Whatever suits your fancy! :-)

Well thanks everybody, I do appreciate the input.

I am putting on the border, not only do I really like, it, but I think spatially, it's needed. I'd imagined this top w/ the thin brown border it has now, but it feels too close in width to the beige border holding the corner squares. So I feel that proportionwise (?) it needs a wider outer border to anchor it.

That's my story & I'm stickin' to it! Am piecing the last 2 borders. Will post updates when done.
