Bad Sue!

I was looking for shots of individual Jane Stickler blocks, when somehow this popped up. I'd never heard of such a thing, and I don't think I'd want one--but man, I was cracking up!

LOL!
It's a running joke among my quilting friends how much I hate Sue so I can hardly wait to share that website with them!

I have seen this site before and also saw a Bad Sue quilt at a quilt show. I think it's a hoot too; must be careful though because some people really love her.

What a hoot. I like Sue but love this quilt also. Someone has a great sense of humor.

RE: Bad Sue!

I'm sorry if my comment offended anyone. I certainly didn't mean to. We all have different tastes and that's the way it should be. Sue and I have never gotten along but I know some of you find her to be charming and cute.

Kate, I hate Sue, too, LOL. I've seen lots of Bad Sue quilts out there.

I can't see why anyone would be offended by your comment.

RE: Bad Sue!

I would say that was more of a Poor Sue than a Bad Sue. Those are the ways the killed Kenny in South Park.

Oh! Even more background! Poor Kenny, huh? I think what got me going was how long I had to look at the Snake block before I spotted Sue.

RE: Bad Sue!

The Bad Sue's I have made, I've called her a Rascal as she's not really bad. Remember the one of her kicking the snowman, being smothered by a Manatee and mooning on Spring Break?

Very amusing.....I always enjoy the whimsical side of Sue.
Good proper Sue is not my taste either, but I have a quilted Christmas ornament of her that was gift to me (1970?). I still put her on my tree-in the back facing the corner.

Kate, your comment was not offensive-we need to be able to convey/express our different personal tastes without feeling the need to apologize.

Sharon - would you repost the pic of your Rascal Sue? I'd love to see it - just for giggles.

I've pulled the 3 that I've made, and posted pictures of, to the top in the gallery and put the link below. I've also made a 'Dapper Sam' but don't have a picture of him yet. I would like to get back to this project but other things seem to be more important......I have sooooo many ideas for her......

Sharon - thanks - Love the manatee- which was probably the easiest. what a fun way to use up some fabrics. I never thought I would make a SBS - but maybe the Rascal Sue would be fun for the seasons ~ just had a idea "lightbulb moment" for your Challenge for the Seasons!!!
I appreciate you reposting the pics! I needed the chuckle - just got off the phone with Verizon (our phone/cable company-grrrrrrrrrrr)

RE: Bad Sue!

Sue isn't a favorite of mine but I am sure she has a place in society. Bad Sue sure has some strange adventures. She really could challenge the immagination. Jayne
