My machine isn't set up but, I believe you push the # button followed by the stitch number. I usually do it with out thinking :) but I think this is right. If this doesn't work let me know and I get it out and take a look! Love my Bernina!

Yes; that's how it's done! I'm sitting here with egg on my face!

I have several Bernina books and two of the "Feetures" books, none of which had "how to select a stitch program" info. I guess it's so basic they didn't think anyone needed to be told.

After reading your solution, I finally found the User's Manual (where it belongs) in the pocket of the machine's cover. It also has the proper Step-by-Step-for-Dummies info!

I love this little Bernie. I've had it for eight or nine years. It was considered one of their "entry" models at the time, but obviously, LOL, it's more machine than I'll ever conquer.

Now I'm off to conquer sewing buttons on by machine, followed with attaching a collar to one of DH's hunting shirts, darning a torn thermal blanket, and then --- catching up on several QUILT works-in-progress.

Sewing on buttons is easy.I don't have the same machine as you,i used to have a bernina 930 many years ago,and I now have a Viking rose.To sew on buttons,i have to lower the feed dogs,set the machine to zigzag,and hand turn the wheel to set the right width,and then push stop so it stitches in place for just a couple stitches to lock the stitches in place.

I do use a glue stick to put some sticky on the back side of the button,just a smidge,so the button doesn't move.
