Another border question - need answer please

I am putting on multiple borders. I have to adjust my needle position to sew exactly a 1/4'' seam - I forgot to make this adjustment on all of the sides - 1st row of borders. So the borders are off a tad, probably in addition to sewing the borders along some bias triangles - it isn't much, but I want to correct it now. Do I square the corners, then measure out from the seams and trim to make each border the same exact width - 2"? I am shy of the 2 1/4" it should be at this point. Then proceed with border #2? This is what makes sense to me - but that doesn't mean it's the right thing to do:). I have starched and pressed the attached border so I am getting a good measurement.
Thanks!

Find the smallest measurement of your border. Cut the entire border that measurement, squaring the corners as you do. Then add your new border.

Nobody is going to come up and say "That border is only 1 15/16"...It should have been 2"! Boy, she sure messed up!"

In the future, you could add all your borders to each other, then add it to your top in one whole section. Then you only mess up once! lol

Thanks Jennifer ~ I just got the other 2 borders ready waiting for an answer. I am going to join them together as you suggested and treat them as one. That makes a lot of sense. Thank you!
