All I can say is "Wow!" Yes, this woman has a passion for her community and for her art. She makes me want to be a better quilter. And her innovation is incredible.

Are you listening out there, quilt magazines????? This lady deserves some national recognition and a great story in one (or more) of you publications!

Hooray for this quilt! Hooray for this quilter! And thanks grammyp for bringing this to our attention.

What a great story and a wonderful quilt! Burnsville is a nice small town a ways from Asheville. We have one of our plants there and I'm glad to see that Glen Raven, Inc. was part of this project.

One doesn't do something like this for fame or glory. You have to have a burning love in your heart for your home to celebrate it with that kind of gargantuan effort. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that.

I thought this would stir something up. The individual pieces are not exactly my style, but it is a tremendous labor of love.
