Sandy update

So far I have received tops from Valarie and Darlene, both are beautiful. Thanks so much. I will post as others arrive.

Valarie asked about backing and batting. I spent $40 for 18 yards of 90" of muslin for the backing, and that should back all I have coming so far. I get Warm and Natural 90" batting on a 40 yard roll for $150 and can get 20 lap quilts done before I have to piece ends together. Figuring 2 yards for each that will be roughly $12 per quilt. If there is anyone who doesn't have any UFO's and would like to "sponsor" a quilt for $6.00 I will gladly add their name to a label.

It is easier for me, being Cdn. and with all that mailing a quilt from here involves, to do this. so I will gladly sponsor a quilt or two.

Sharon's arrived Friday (I think it was Friday).

Valarie's is quilted, but still in the frame. I'll get another loaded (and maybe quilted) tonight.

Just read the information about contributing. I'd love to since I didn't have any tops to send. Please email me the postal address to send it to. No need to add my name to the label though, that would just mean a delay.
