Trail run quilt winners.

The race director decided to award the quilts to the first place male and female runners. We worked Aid Station #17 from 10pm Sat till 10am Sunday and didn't get to be at the finish line. There were 210 registered, I think 205 started the race, 119 made it to my station, 1 dropped there. It was cold (20's) and I have no idea how they managed to run 100 miles.

We made it home and took a nap from 11 till 4, then had unpack the truck and clean up. Don't know if I will be able to work the overnight stations next year. It is so hard to keep everything from freezing, including me.

oh gosh, Beverly! they will LOVE the quilts! my daughter is a marathon runner and a 100 miler, too...they really do treasure those 'gifts' they are given! YOU should get a trophy for even being OUT there!! Wow! and those quilts are just beautiful!

The race director made a good decision. Awesome that you stayed all night for the runners...Kudos to you and DH!

Congratulations to the winners, and on the quilts, Beverly! I can't imagine even walking 100 miles, much less running. I also can't imagine manning an aid station overnight! (I'm definitely NOT a night person LOL.)

Thanks everyone. Hubby said it may have to be our last all night station. We love helping out, but all night in 20 degrees is just a bit much these days. But we can do a station that closes earlier, or perhaps work at the finish line. The runners are really great, some are quite rattled by the time they get to the end.

Beth, tell you daughter anyone that can run 100 miles is awesome.
