A while back I asked a question about a Huskystar 224 and someone else here had one. Now I am am wondering if she knows if I can use other brands of presser feet on it. It is a short shank with a snapon ankle, but I prefer a regular screw on foot. Any information she would like to share would be appreciated.

I have one I bought used 20 years ago, but I've barely ever used it. The feet I've bought for it are a quarter inch foot that snaps on and a quilting foot that requires you to unscrew it above the quick snap ankle. I've just looked for feet that say "compatible with" my machine. Why do you prefer a regular screw foot?

I'm so used to the screw-ons, and have trouble with lining the snap-ons........just quicker for me!
