I wanted some "instant" gratification, so a couple of weeks ago I finished a small 25"x27" wall hanging made of some scrumptious batiks. It's now hanging over my sewing machine. It was my first attempt at curved quilting.

Love the earthy tones in your piece. Is this machine quilted? Great job.

Bloomorelse, yes, it's machine quilting. I can't imagine having the patience to hand quilt. Thank you for letting me show my little project. It's fun to have others appreciate your efforts. Lois

Very pretty. Love the combination of fabric. Were they sprips? They coordinate so well. Nice job. TFS Jayne

Jayne, the fabrics weren't packaged together. I found the palm frond fabric, which I thought was beautiful. Then I just walked the aisles until I found patterns/colors that I thought looked good together and bought fat quarters of each. What are "sprips"?
