I'll get mine in the mail on Monday too. I'm very excited about getting this started and getting to see everyone's row.

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

I'm so sorry, everyone! It takes some time to put together the group photo and I haven't had a minute to spare in the past couple weeks. One crisis after another at work and in the neighborhood. If I can't get it done tonight, then I will have it done one night early this week. Promise!

Kate

Missing a couple photos...

I might not be quite as much of a slacker as I feared. I don't think I have photos from Marie or from Joyce. Friends, have you sent me pictures yet?

Remember, when you send it, please do the subject line just like this so I can find it again later: "HEART IN HAND - Your Name".

Thanks!

Kate

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

- time to start rowing - LOL with all the rain we are getting right now, there may be alot more truth in that statement than you know :D

Kate,
I sent my picture to you but will do so again as I didn't put the right thing in the subject line :(

Tara, mine was sent out this morning but I forgot to include the instruction.... Yes, it is Monday and it was still on my sewing table when I got home this afternoon. I will send it out so that you can include it for me this week.

Marie

RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

Hello everyone,

I sent my photo to Kate, and I've sent my row to Kay. Can't wait to get my first one!

Odessa

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

Hello
I got Tara's row today, I think I have an idea what I'm gonna do. But I will think about it for a day or 2 before I start anything
Michelle
Ps I love the turtles

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

Odessa, your row arrived yesterday. I love it, and just can't wait to get started on it.

Everyone, Odessa wants us to think Spring when we work on her quilt. Well, I don't know how it is in your part of the country, but around here, when spring comes, it brings.... MUD! So be careful whenever you open the package carrying Odessa's row. I'll be sure to seal it up well, but you know how it goes, MUD does ooze! Just thought I'd give you a heads up!

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

Really sorry I've had to drop out of this! But be assured, I'm going to try and keep an eye on what you're doing and how things are progressing. Sounds like you all are inspired and having fun. @:)

Gena,

Marie

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

Michelle,

I got your row a couple days ago, and finally had the opportunity to open it late last night. I LOVE IT!

Now, as an old "FARM GIRL" myself, I wonder what I can put with these chickens to enhance them .... I know! I think I have some sparkly skyscraper fabrics .... oooohhhh, the creativity is starting to flow now!

Odessa

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

I would love to join in too but I can't become a member on that forum because I am outside the US. I guess it is because of the seed exchanges that are run there. Oh well, another forum at another time might run a pin cushion exchange. But can you post a link again when you all post pictures please?

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

I am not sure how my message ended up on this thread?????
I was on What are you quilting this weekend!
Halloween gremlins must be doing their thing!

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

Maria, I finially got to open your package. What wonderful farm animals. I have a question. Do you want the background the same for all of them. Yours was the unbleached muslin. I can do that or have different backgrounds. Which would you prefer? Or do you care?
Tara ps I also got the note to put in with the row.

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

I finally decided on an autumn row I'm going to make for Kay's quilt. I've ordered some fabric it should be here anyday now. Her row is really creative and pretty.

Can't wait to get started on it.

Gena

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

FINALLY! Here's your group picture. I was going to start a new thread with the image so it would be at the top and will do that if you want me to, but here it is for the group to see.

This one was tough! All of the quilts are so different and the sizes are dis-similar too. But they are lovely and so interesting! I think you'll all have fun!

Kate

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

Tara - it doesn't really matter to me what you choose. I want this to be a fun blanket for everyone ( including the little ones that will be sharing it with me). Do what ever you think kids will like.... I went with the muslin because that is what I had on hand - no grand scheme there LOL

Thanks for posting the row pictures Kate! They all look great :D I have the fabric cut out for Gena's and plan to have it finished over the weekend - I am having a wonderfulo time with all the 'mud & snow' colors that spring brings!

FYI - just recieved the news this week: my first grandbaby is a GIRL!!! She wont arrive until April but I am already working on a quilt for her :D

Marie

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

Marie! Congrats on the news about your granddaughter!

Tara - just a heads up :D Gena's is ready for another leg of her jouney! I will be sending it out on friday...

Marie

RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

Michelle & Everyone, They're here, they're here!!!!!

My rows came home! And they're WONDERFUL!
In order of how you worked on them:
Gena, The leaves & acorns were almost the center of my original row. I just couldn't find a pattern I liked well enough. I obviously didn't see the one you found, or there it would have been! The wreaths are just beautiful, thank you!

Marie: Your blocks are so bright & cheerful! I think my very favorite is the one of the reeds! The squirrel is so friendly, but he seems to be saying "Don't touch my acorn!" And what a lovely center the mushroom makes!

Tara, the leaves are GREAT! I was really hoping for each of those blocks! Believe it or not, they all were battling it out to be in my original row, especially the sweet gum leaf. I have fond memories of a sweet gum tree growing up.

Michelle, I really love the sunflower row! The stars and sashing are just the right colors and look so "fallish". It's amazing how you could take a star, and make it blend right into a floral setting. Just perfect!

Thank you all so much for all the work you did.. I love them all! I still need to add sashing and decide on final layout, but what a great quilt this will be! (Picture does not have rows in order listed above!)

RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

I heard from Odessa!

She is OK but has very good reasons for dropping out of sight for a while. I won't go into any details, because that would be for her to share, but if you knew any of the story you would understand. She thanks you all for your patience.

She has all of the round/row robin missing pieces. I told her that if she wants she can send them all to me, without adding her borders or rows, and I'll get them sent to the appropriate person on the list. But she would like to see how much she can get done on them this weekend.

Kate

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

Odessa,
If you're checking in... a big hug! Glad to know you're ok.

Kay

Marie, I got the package on Saturday. Love the chickens. I had already put stuff away for this. I'm having to remember or rethink what I was going to do. I don't applique very well so I'm looking for paper piece chickens.

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

Hello
Tara is that my rows you have?
Dosent have to be chickens just kinda country or barnyard, or going with
The color.
I can't beleve almost a year later and my row is still making its way
Around.

Are there any more still wandering the countryside?

Michelle

 o
RE: Row Robin: heart in hands

Michelle,

Yes this is yours. It's beautiful!. I've found some chickens and chicks and some other things that will go with them. I was wondering if any others were out there too.
