Birthday quilt for my Daughter

This is the Jenny Beyer quilt I have been working on for my youngers daughters (lol) 60th birthday next week. I have been hand quilting it for a while. Made the mistake of wanting to hand quilting in the ditch, which wasn't a wise thing to do as it doesn't show and was very difficult to do. A lesson learned.

It's beautiful. I love the colors, pattern and the borders really set it off. Lucky you put some of that spectacular hand quilting where you can see it!

Outstanding, Jayne! What a treasure she will have....wrapped in her mom's love and expertise. I used to enjoy hand quilting but haven't been able to for quite a few years. You are blessed that you're still able to make those wonderful stitches. It's a beauty!

Thank you all... Can't take credit for the pattern or the fabric as Jenny Beyer choose them for me...but it was fun to make and a challenge to quilt, SID is not the way to go while hand quilting...lol. My daughter is fond of butterfly's and I am of hearts, thus the design for the boarder.

Yes, I learned the hard way (years ago) that SID quilting by hand was not the best way. Guess we just think "well, it's just quilting after all, what could be bad?" And then, we find out.....
