Awesome Quilt Show in Des Moines!

Just spent the day in Des Moines with some of my quilt club! What an awesome show! You would think I'd be inspired but I came home pretty discouraged! There is a lot of talent out there......wish I had some! lol No, it was fun. Some of the quilts on display I wouldn't even classify as quilts...they were works of Art! Beautiful fabric! Lots of ideas....we all wanted to run home and sew!

I was at the Jacksonville FL quilt show last weekend and had the same mixture of emotions. Everything from 'I'll NEVER be that good!' to 'My last quilt is more show-worthy than THAT' to 'I've GOT to make one like this'. The colors, patterns and fresh ideas are almost overwhelming. Every time I go to a big show I realize I should be taking the following week off work so I can sew, sew, sew. I came home with new fabric and ideas for a couple new projects.
