UPDATE.....using shirt pockets..not cutting to size first

An update to my post earlier about sewing shirt pockets together without cutting to size for charity quilts.

Thanks "toolgranny" for reinforcing my thoughts about reversing pockets. Wasn't sure I was on the right track.

Reversing pockets works well to even out and keep strip straight then cutting off the points on the sides. A little squaring up and strips are ready to go.

I am making 9-patch blocks using print for one block and a solid color block with print in center for alternating block.

Quilt in progress is made using frog print pockets. Most of the pockets have animals and will make great quilts for children.

Hope I succeed in making up all the pockets, there are 3 file drawers full!!

Appreciate everyone's suggestions!
