I just purchashed some wide batting and I have a question instead of laying the top of my quilt up and down on the batting can I place it lying going across or will it mess up the outcome of it all. I hope I said this correctly and Thanks.

You can lay it either way! Karlene

I lay most of mine across, it makes no difference. I buy mine by the roll and do it all the time. I even put my quilts in the frame "sideways" so I can make fewer passes. beverly

I turn mine which ever way utilizes the batting better, with less waste. Either works fine.
