I made this roll holder for the holidays years ago and it helps keep the rolls warm too. You may be able to use quilted fabric for the bottom, but it might be too heavy for the middle and top layers.

Would be really cute with matching placemats for gifts, or for your own table. A matching table runner hmmmmmmmmmm.....

Also, keep in mind it will be washed after each use!!
