Quilt show weekend.

This is our local guild show weekend. I put two things in this year, the Hawaiian applique sampler, previously posted here, and this challenge piece.

Challenge said it was to be "My Favorite....". So, I called it my favorite quilt blocks done in applique. It is all in batiks, even the white, all appliqued piece by piece, and is 37" wide and 82" long.

I'll let you know if I win anything.

Oh it's beautiful! And the quilting compliments the design so well. I really like the way you tilted one block! Great combination of modern and traditional.

I love everything about it!!! the quilting, the design, the blocks, the tilted block, the colors, all of it!!

and are you saying that those blocks are appliqued? I can't even imagine!

Your skills are Awesome...I can't imagine hand appliquing blocks...incredible! The design, the colors, and the quilting are all perfect, I just love it ... all the best to you in the show!

This is spectacular! Your blocks look like Porcelain tiles set with tiny grout lines. The quilting is beautiful~I love the soft feathers combined with the hard lines of the grid.
Your idea is unique and I hope you win a ribbon. You should be very pleased.
This looks great against your rock wall.

Fantastic, Linda! I love the simplicity of the blocks against that fabulous quilting. Great idea to set the blocks asymmetrically and tilt the one block - adds more interest overall. I would give that quilt a prize if I were judging!

I like it! It has an understated elegance in the layout and color and the quilting is stunning...a perfect fit.
