I think you should come up with a Camp Cheerio Oath and Quilter's Prayer to start each day of retreat. Maybe somewhat like the Possum Lodge Oath and The Man's Prayer (see link if you're not familiar with it). Prayer could be something like: " I am a quilter, I buy fabric to cut up into smaller pieces so I can sew it back together in wondrous designs. I have a stash that's enough for making all the quilts for a lifetime but, dear lord, I am being tempted, I just have to have this tiny piece of new stuff. But I can change if I have to, I guess."
