| I finished the top for my neighbor's baby shower next Sunday. I had a layer cake in browns and pinks (just happens to be the colors in the nursery) and did the quick HSTs, put together a Depression Block top, small brown border, the wider outer border. I had hoped to have enough to use the brown for the binding, but I don't. I do have lots of the floral outer border (which will also be the backing), so that will do. The pink is more of a dusty color than it looks.
Now to get it loaded in the frame tomorrow and hopefully quilted.

| This quilt is really wonderful, and isn't it nice to use what fabric you have on hand. I understand that brown and pink is very 'in' at this time. Nice pattern choice, I am sure it will be much loved by both Mom and --- baby! |

| Very nice! I'm not a pink person, so I like pink paired with brown. Great gift. Love the floral - it will be pretty as the binding and back. |

| I love that depression block and this is a perfect example of it. It's just beautiful! Using a layer cake, I'm guessing that you cut them in quarters and each HST comes out just over 4". Is that right? I've got to do this block sometime! Kate |

| Great job. Love the pattern, one of my favorites. The colors work very well together and a plus when you have them in your stash. Brown is a good "mixer". Your neighbor will be thrilled. |
