Questions of etiquette...

I had a great evening at the Folsom Quilt Guild meeting last night and really enjoyed the lively presentation by Rob Appell. Is saying so a plug and is that too commercial a comment?

Also, have a friend who is showing in her quilts in the Gallery of Back Porch Fabrics. Is posting information on her show too commercial for this forum?

Advertising is not allowed on the forums.
Mentioning your Guild and its speakers and the name of your Local Quilt Shop is not advertising and not a misuse of the forum. Not too commercial at all. You shared a positive experience at your meeting and I love to hear about great speakers~tell us more.

RE: Questions of etiquette...

Ditto what MRG said! Sharing ideas, resources and websites is perfectly OK. Tell us more!

RE: Questions of etiquette...

Rob Appell was entertaining, if a bit long on the story telling. He made you feel all things were possible since his presentation started with his first efforts and fed into his more recent accomplishments. He was kind of a cross between State Fair demo guy and comedian/devoted quilter.

Here is a link that might be useful: info about his work
