Row Robin from years ago... Chicken themed

Who remembers this????

I started this YEARS ago as a row robin and when it came back it wasn't big enough so I gave it to Shannon to add a row. She has had it for at least three years sitting there. She ended up adding three rows. Emily and her pulled this out the day my father in law died as they thought I needed something special. They got it finished up and asked the rest of the family to pitch in on the machine quilting. They gave it to me today for my birthday.I am so excited and happy!!!! I will move my chicken collection into my bedroom which I had been thinking of doing anyway and it will make Emily SO happy not to look at them all the time :-) So it works all the way around....

Isn't that the cutest quilt! What wonderful timing on your family's part giving you the quilt when you most needed it. I know what you mean about a collection.....I had pigs everywhere and the family complained about them being in every room. We stopped raising pigs and I put the collection away then finally donated most of it keeping just a few special pieces.

I remember the chickens! I think we used the same set of chicken patterns for one of the lottos.

Your quilt is so bright and cheerful! They did a great job. Of course, they learned from the best, right?!?

Can't say that I remember it but it sure is fun quilt with lots of smiles. A gift of love and caring. Nice job all the way around. Happy Birthday and enjoy.
