My project for this weekend.

My niece is having a fund raiser and asked me for something so I looked at my stash and came up with this child's quilt. I made up quickly as it was a panel that I had. Hope it brings in something as the monies go to her sister who has serious liver problems and needs a transplant
She also picked a couple of others from my inventory.

I wanted to add that it went up quickly as the center was a panel that was in my stash.

I was wondering about the little animals also - they really make the quilt very special!
I think a child's quilt this cute was the right choice for a fundraiser. I hope it raises alot of money.

That's an adorable quilt. It's so amazing to me that you could have just the perfect fabrics in your stash. You must have quite a collection of fabrics. It's very kind of you to donate your quilts to such a good cause.

It is adorable!! Good luck on the fundraiser, we have so many in our county and I try to help. It could be me or my family one day.

Our area is so small we have one high school for the entire county. Currently my friend's mother has breast cancer and even with insurance she has a lot of expenses. Seems like our insurance covers less and less each year!

Thanks. Regarding the sm. animals they were on a strip attached to the panel and I fussy cut, fused then stitched around them with a sm. applique stitch. I also fussy cut the yellow check fabric for the inner border.
Orange is not my favorite color but had some left over from another quilt as were most of the fabrics. I backed it with br. green fleece. [don't tell anyone but I have been using the green for a design wall but the color was right. lol]
I guess I should have said the that the sister is also my niece.
