Slick sewing machine table for free hand quilting

I was unable to find "silicone spray" locally to make a slick surface on sewing machine table for free hand quilting.

Decided to put a few drops of "All Purpose Sewers Aid" (silicone based) on the sewing machine table and spread all over. Worked like a charm, surface is slick as glass. Only a few drops needed to spread over a large area using a small 1" x 2" cotton knit cloth.

Sewers Aid is found at fabric stores. Sewing machine shops may have it.

I think "Needle Lube" would work the same. Both are made for sewing and should not stain fabric.

Enjoy!

I never thought of making the table slick! Duh!! I have some silicone spray I use for my embroidery that I bet will work like a charm. Thank you for the light bulb :-)
