Scrappy Basketweave

I've had these blocks for quite some time and decided to sew them together the other day. I didn't take any pains on which blocks went where and it didn't turn out so bad....at least it's acceptable to me. It isn't large....approx. 40 x 52 at this stage. It's going on the back burner again as there are a couple other things I want to do before eye surgery on the 27th.

I really like this pattern. I have not made one yet, but it's on the list... I think your quilt turned out very well.

Good luck with the eye surgery!

Looks good from here. I think this one is in my to-do folder.
Good luck with the eye surgery. I go back to the specialist in Aug. But I may call before then because things definitely are not sharp.

I'm wishing you good luck as well. This quilt looks just great. Sometimes scrappy makes the most charming quilts. I'm anxious to see it when you get it done.

The top looks wonderful - colors nicely spaced and good contrast. I love it!

Thank you everyone.....I probably shouldn't have mentioned the surgery as it isn't until the 27th and is on the same eye the cataract surgery was done. It is to remove, or release a pucker as it has attached to the retina causing pressure which in turn is not allowing fluid to escape....hence the swelling will not go down and nothing is clear.

Thanks for putting up with me and listening to me complain about this for last 6 months. I do know that things could be so much worse, so should learn to keep my mouth shut. (fingers off the keyboard) :-)

Oh gosh woman, we'd want to know about a surgery and that condition is always a possibility with a cataract removal and doesn't happen often but shouldn't be too difficult to correct. We want to hold you up and bombard you with good wishes! It would have been a royal pain for a quilter, and I think you've managed quite well despite the restrictions. BTW I love that pattern and it does fool the eye and now I hope you know you DID IT. I'd forgotten I wanted to do one of those and have a tidy eight piles of smaller remnants I'd like to be shuck of after I used all I wanted for the depression block quilt. This would be easy and perfect. Now, I have a quilt to look forward to. Sure like yours.
