Single Irish Chain quilt pattern

I have had this pattern saved for quite a while. It is definitely on my 'to do' list. Black fabric is hard to work with (for me) but this is a stunning quilt.

I think small panel fabric would look gorgeous instead of the embroidered blocks.

I was also surprised to read they use poly felt as a stabilizer.

That's a beautiful quilt. I don't see why they need a stabilizer, though. I love the Irish Chain pattern. I hope you get your black one done and show us.

That's nice Rosa. I've been shying away from black, too, and I've found a bright white looks just as well with bright colors and is much easier on my eyes. Look how pretty your Bright Eyes is....white and brights!!!

I really like the mix of embroidery and quilting. I agree, a bright white would also work. That is what I'm using on my DJ.
