Bonie Hunter 'De-boning a Shirt'

There has been recent discussions about scrappy quilts, fabric content, colors, and of course pictures posted of your fabulous inspirational scrappy quilts. I thought I would share Bonnie's You Tube, posted on her site, how she cuts and tears a shirt down to use.

That's the method I used when I did my boss's retirement quilt and when I de-boned a shirt to make a teddy bear. There's a lot of usable fabric in a shirt!

Yeah.........I've been doing it the same way for years. Guess I'm in good company. You bet there's a lot of fabric in a shirt. If you go to make one, you usually end up purchasing more yardage than you'd imagine, especially if it is striped or plaid.
