I am trying to use up some of my stash. I saw this block that was made by stacking 4 sq. and cutting and then re-piecing so decide to experiment. 30's fabric isn't my favorite but have a box full thus the quilt.
The front is the pattern and the back is an extemporaneous effort.

I like the pattern. It looks simple and good for a scrap quilt. However, I don't see the back of the quilt. Am I crazy?

OK, found the second post. Duh! I really like the backing. It's a great way to use up the bigger scraps without needing to cut so much.

I love it. It's a great baby quilt. I don't see the back either.

Read through both posts and both sides of your quilt are great! . my take: ..the front is for those days when one wants to be in control, the back is for those days when one wants to let their hair down...what a great and lovely idea, well done!

I am linking to the post about the back - so we can find them together later :)
I love the front --- but really, really love the back!!! I have made pieced backs for more of my quilts than not , and always say I need to make simpler backs because they take soooooo much more time and effort, but when they are completed I like the quilts better with the pieced backs.

I like how Val described your front and back!

I appreciate your work Jayne and all your experience!

Thank you everyone for you kind remarks. I appreciate them.
I wasn't sure what to do with it but decide to give it to one of my daughters "charges" that she baby sits for. Will see her reaction tomorrow.
It was an experimental effort and the FMQ leaves a lot to be desired but it was practice. That was one part that is disappointing as the back quilting isn't very attractive but wasn't many options there.
Sorry I couldn't post the pictures together as I do with Photo Bucket.

I really like this one........very nice symmetry and everything really plays off the next. I can't imagine doing piecework on both the front and the back. I can't decide which side I like better. What a nice gift.

Jayne, If there are two photos you want to show together, post the first one as you normally would, then 'post a follow-up' with the next photo. They won't be in the same post, but in the same thread, one after the other. Hope this helps.
