My wedding quilt

This will go to DGS and fiancee as soon as they announce a date and not before. And I will probably wait for the actual wedding. Just call me Grinch!
All batiks except for the white which is a WOW.
Long time in planning and discarding some patterns in favour of this. The bride's family is from the Caribbean so to me these are Caribbean colours. It is so big I had to wait for a good day to lay it out on the deck.

It is beautiful, love the batiks and the border. No Grinch at all in my eyes. I have learned my lesson by gifting early and they broke up - twice! The bride to be kept the quilt and I don't even know her.

I also learned to never embroider dates early lol!

Oh Pretty-Pretty-Pretty!!! I bet those Batik Stars are more gorgeous in person. I also love the border fabric and the squares.
Your planning shows!
Yes-be a Grinch and wait for the wedding or the bridal shower to gift the quilt.

The stars are "watercolour batiks" so they are not solid but have some variation in colour.

Great job, may their future be as bright & starry as this splendid quilt you've made them. Absolutely, wait 'til they're married, your call entirely (your gift & your work too). Well done!

Curioius what's on the back? Any chance of a pic?

RE: My wedding quilt

The back is the same as the border, cornerstones and binding. It was a wide fabric but I still had to piece it. It is a batik called Floral Lagoon.

Love it! I'm partial to stars and batiks, but your border really sets it all off! And I agree they can wait for the wedding.

Absolutely scrumptious quilt, Theresa. So light and airy and lovely. I would wait until the wedding too. After that, there's no controlling what happens, but until then, you're in the driver's seat.
