Mom bought me a quilt

Many of you know that my parents love going to the Monday auction near their home. Most nights they just get a taco salad and strawberry shortcake, but some nights they actually find something to bid on. Tonight one of the auctioneers had brought one of his wife's grandmother's quilts to auction. The highest bid was $60 (mom's bid) but he said he had a min of $90 on it so it went unclaimed. Later he changed his mind and let her have it for $60. It is 140 years old and he provided a card with some information about it. She has no idea what the pattern is and I haven't seen it yet. Can't wait to get my hands on it and may just bring it to the retreat this year. I'll post pictures when I get some.

I'm excited, too, Beverly! Great that 'mom' was keeping an eye out and bid on it. When do you think you'll get it?

How exciting. I can hardly wait to see it. Wonder if he has more.

At least it wasn't five gallons of buttons!

I love auctions. You never know when you are going to find that special something. I can't wait to see a picture. Do you know the condition of it?
