I'm not connected either and I always go to their booth when they are in a show. I love their patterns and have done one of their redwork quilt samplers so far. I just bought a second one two weeks ago in Sacramento show. I hadn't thought about the free ones. I should copy them for future use. Thanks for the link.

Those are really cute!! I saved the links so I can do them later. I'm saving sites for redwork because that will be one of my next projects.

Since I can't see well enough to transfer patterns anymore, I've found a few places where the patterns are pre-printed and very unique.

I ordered this one back in January and it's finally on it's way as it was out of stock.

I am learning embroidery and I bought some pillow cases to practice on. I knew the fabric was thin and it may not last more than a few washings, but it was fun to embroider.

Their designs are good for beginners, I think, because they are mostly straight lines and some basic stitches like Lazy Daisy. A few years ago I taught a series of redwork classes here at GW, but can't seem to find them now. It's one of my favorite things.

Sharon, I have had good luck with Transfer-Eze (Birdbrain now sells a similar Fabri-Solvy from Sulky that's 8-1/2 x 11, transfer-eze is slightly smaller but I've never had printer problems) It's kind of pricey but I've been able to use it on multiple designs if I cut and paste them to fit on one sheet, and it goes through the regular printer. Saves a lot of transferring time. It needles slightly different but I've had no problem with it washing right out.
