Another label idea

I was just ready Teresa's posting about how to attach labels and wanted to share something I've done for years.

Whether I'm making a quilt for someone else or one to keep, I usually take a small scrap of each fabric used and put it inside the label before I sew it on. It's like including a patch kit with every quilt. The pieces don't have to be large - about 3x3 - and I don't fold them over so it lays flat and doesn't make the label 'pouchy'. It probably wouldn't work if you used many, many fabrics in a quilt, but if there are only 6 or 7 it works fine.
