I have a lot going on for the next few months, so I'm trying to work ahead a little bit on birthday blocks. (Not to mention that my mother is coming up here next month for a while and she'll probably take her sewing machine away from me!)

Your choice is bright scrappy fabrics for your block. Do you want distinct light and dark pieces arranged like the pattern shows or just totally haphazard scrappy?
