This was more ironing than sewing! Took me just over a year to complete it. This image was taken just before I finished top stitching the border pieces.

The coolest part is the black fabric that I found. It was called pebble but looks exactly like the texture of a football. It couldn't have been more perfect.

Your quilt is great. I like it more because although it's a football quilt, it doesn't look like one unless you are familiar with the Steelers' logo. Very elegant quilt. I'm afraid a Vikings quilt would have to have horns all over it. Not too classy. Lois from Minnesota.

It was a surprise and he flipped. Couldn't believe I spent that much time on it. Loves it and uses it everyday in this crazy cold Vermont winter.
