Thanks to Sharon, Jen, and Linda for letting me vent this week. My mom and I have been cleaning out her mom's house getting ready for sale. She is having a bit of a problem letting go, but that is to be expected. We are working through all that. We did find more flour, seed, fertilizer, sugar (from Cuba) and smoked ham sacks in various places in her house. Since I am the only one interested in such things, I claimed them. Most of these are just natural color, but I can use them with the stash I got from Great-grandmaw's house nicely. We also found in excess of 30 pair of embroidered pillowcases made from some of these sacks, and I nabbed some of them, too. Two pair have tatting my great-grandmother had done, so those are mine. I am at work right now, so can't post pictures, but will later. May bring some of my humble finds to the retreat.
More cleaning to do, but not this week.
