| OK, the tandem is appliqued on the backing fabric. I am much happier with this version.
Here is a close up of the fabric. It is called "gravel" and is tanish with brown, cream and white spots.
Today I hope to get it sandwiched and ready to quilt.

The appliqued pieces look great, featured by themselves against the contrasting "gravel" background. Anyone can easily see the tandem bike riders, since the eyes can focus on them, and not a busy background of a riot of color. Very, very nice! Julie |

| Thanks everyone. Hope to get it sandwiched this weekend. DH is running in the Mercedes Marathon tomorrow (...19 degrees at the start...) so we will have to leave for Birmingham at 4. That will take most of the day tomorrow. beverly |

Great job beverly. It is perfect on the back with the fabric you chose. I know you friends will love it. Works better this way and allows the Jewel Box to shine on it's own. TFS |
