Pieced Applique workshop report

I spoke earlier of a workshop I would be attending that was about "Pieced Applique" given by Penny Haren, creator of the technique. Penny has authored 4 books & has 2 more in the works, created special "Creative Grids" rulers, & is an outstanding teacher.

Yesterday's guild sponsored workshop was fabulous & FUN. She gave us so many great tips & tricks, demonstrations, &creative ideas ... it was simply wonderful & one of the best I've ever attended.

We made 9 blocks (& several small "bonus" blocks). Some are basic but she gave us new ways to make them. Here is a pic of 6.

If you have a chance to see Penny or have your guild sponsor a w/s, I highly recommend it! She's going to be @ Shipshewanna, IN in June.

Thank you for the report. Keeping us up to date on teachers and workshops that might come near us is very important. We should all do that.

Love the pics :) Sounds like you had a great time - & yes, I agree w/Linda. Letting each other know about authors & their workshops they have attended would be very helpful. It's nice to hear that someone who went had a great time, learned alot -- in other words, that it was worth the $$ !
