I found a cool fabric app for my Iphone

For those who have an IPhone or other device that can download these kinds of apps - I discovered an app last night called "Fabricstash".

Basically, you can take a pix of your fabric and enter info about it - maker, major color, amount you have, where you got it, etc...and keep track of your stash. You can also take a pix of other things like quilting books, trims, etc and have that hand too (I can't tell you how many times I've seen a new quilt book and thought "do I have that one already?")

I played with it a bit last night - put in about 10 fabrics. A couple didn't come up with the right tone when I took the picture, but I was able to clearly define what it really looked like in the description.

Pretty cool so far, so I thought I'd pass alog info on it in case anyone else was interested.

Here is a link that might be useful: FabricStash info

Very cool! I'll try it on my iPad and see how it goes.

I have FabricStash, but don't use it as much as I should. I love it though and think it's very, very clever!

Other iPhone apps for quilting: QuiltFab, QuiltRef, and iWool.
