Some QAYG runners I've finished (pics)

I have mentioned that I was asked to teach this workshop in March at my guild's annual Quilt-In. It's not a process I was particularly excited about, but I've finished these as samples.

I think there are some that will really like this process. I think I need to add something to my runners in order to be really pleased with them.

This one was done with smaller 'blocks' and fits my coffee table perfectly. (too bad baby won't leave it there!)

This one I made longer and it will work on my dining room table eventually. I'm going to try to add prairie points around this one...I think I'll be happier with that.

I never liked the QAYG method at all; maybe if I could machine stitch the seams on the back, I would consider it. I have a sampler from the first class I took introducing me to quilting and I really want to finish it, but I have all the hand work to do.
Your table runners are very nice. Melanie is a fabricholic already! She just wants to play w/ a different kind of blocks! She is a sweetie!

There is a QAYG method that machine stitches the final seams using a sashing method. The final stitches show as top-stitching on the front of the quilt.

I could find you a link if it's something you'd want to see. I personally don't like the end look and prefer to 'hide' the stitching on the back. Of course, I don't like hand stitching which is why I never QAYG in that method! lol

There are alot of methods to choose from for sure...
