I bought the white because you can use it with everything. I like to use it when my quilt has a white background.

Good choice - I also buy white by the roll. Save all your scraps.
You can piece the larger pieces and use them in a quilt. Don't overlap the seams. I save the smaller pieces as well. They are good to clean off lint & dust from the rotary mat.

i took someone's suggestion and made swiffer sheets with the small pieces. i like them better than the official sheets.

i also came up with a good way to piece batting for quilts. i put the 2 pieces together, cut a curvy seam and do a zig zag just catching the very end. when i open it, it lays flat and i zig zag the two pieces flat and they butt up perfectly.

I just bought some Warm and White from Jo-Ann yesterday on line. Really good prices. I bought three queen size packages, because the roll takes up too much space. Not quite as good a deal, but close.

Bev, I've used a similar method for piecing batting. It works very well.

I bought warm and white on Joanne's also. Even with the shipping and duty its still a better price than I can get it here in Canada. I think it was half price and with 10% off the total order.
Guess I should try to get the other quilt started for my older granddaughter and the three quilt tops for myself quilted also.
I'm waiting to go out of town to get the thread to sew the back for the quilt for youngest granddaughter. The flannel isn't large enough so I have to piece it.
