| I made 3 blocks this weekend for myself and discovered something I hadn't known: this isn't a particularly easy block! My apologies to anyone in the Carolina Lilies who may have trouble with it. Lining up the triangles can be a bit of a challenge and the seams get a little bulky, too. It's a 2-pin block so I thought it wouldn't be difficult, but it turned out to be tricky. I'm sorry if it's a struggle for you. Don't worry about getting all your points to be nice and pointy! Mine aren't. Kate |

I feel great now - because I was afraid it was me... 'smile'......I made 2 attempts at the block - the first one I couldn't get lined up either - but when I did the second one - I moved down the triangles a little in order not to keep them lined up when sewing - amost 1/4 in...and it's amazing - they all lined up - the weirdest thing........
But, it is a beautiufl block .......

Kate~ Your block went out today. I hope it is OK. I had a difficult time with the triangles- I just can't seem to get them right in this block. It makes me feel better to know that I wasn't the only one, though. :o)

I tackled London Roads last night and my block is not perfect, but I will send it along. One thing I learned after ripping out seams several times was to try attaching the triangles with a basting stitch and then if they lined up right, I would do a regular stitch on the seam. Just as much "ripping out", but I wasn't dealing with so many stitches. Maybe that will appeal to someone else so I thought I would pass it along.
Kate, it really is a pretty block. It will be fun to see them all together when they arrive.

I went back to clean up my sewing area and noticed I had posted the block name incorrectly in my message above. It is London SQUARE.
London Square is what was listed on the group information, so excuse me for getting the name wrong in my post. I did make the correct block! LOL

| I just starting working on this today, it looks like a beautiful block. Haven't hit any snags yet :) I will definitely know to be on the lookout though! Also to both January birthdays (i dont want to dig up old threads), I'm SO SO SO SORRY that I'm so behind and getting such a bad start to the year. We've had a ton of unexpected things come up in January and I'm really sorry. Both blocks are about 95% done and will be on their way shortly. I will let you both know. Again, so sorry...but we're finally getting back on track and back to normal here. |

Kate, I made your blocks today. DD and SIL are coming tomorrow and staying all weekend. I go to the PO every weekday to pick up the mail for work so will try to have them ready to mail on Monday.

| Blocks are showing up in the mail almost daily! They are beautiful and I'm so eager to make this quilt. I haven't decided on border(s) yet, but I am planning to add some prairie points when I do the binding. I have blocks from:
