Question about Quilting foot for Baby Lock Allure

Hello...I am very experienced at sewing but a total novice at quilting...I am teaching my 10 year old granddaughter to sew and thought making a quilt would be a great way to start. She has mastered sewing straight seams and is loving it. I have a question about a quilting foot.... I have a Baby Lock Allure machine, do I need to buy a quilting foot made specifically for my machine or is there, so to speak a "generic" brand foot that will work the same, that might be cheaper? Many thanks in advance with any advice someone might have...

I don't have the Allure but do have a Baby lock Espire. I am not sure which foot you would need that would be different from what comes with your machine. I quilt with my "J" foot which is standard. By moving my needle to the Rt. #2 straight setting and using the edge of the foot I get a perfect 1/4" seam.
There are 1/4" feet and perhaps that is what you are refering to, but mine came with the machine.

Don't know what the feet look like for your particular machine. I actually bought the "Jane" because I liked the quilting foot, as well as the larger harp so well. It's kinda round with a clear center surrounded by metal. There's just a single hole in the middle. Good visibility and it seems to hold the fabric well as I free motion. I love it!
