Corduroy

I saw a very old post on this but was wondering if anyone has done anything with corduroy recently? I noticed that Joann's had it on the remnants table marked way down and almost bought a bunch really cheap but was afraid of it since I've never sewed with it, (except for maybe back in the 70's for my son's pants) but that's it. The biggest problem I have with it is it's so lint-catching and I have a dog.

Rita, I used it as backing on a denim raggedy and it worked out great. Also, a friend used corduroy and velvet in a crazy quilt and it was pretty.

The worse lint catcher I ever made was a denim raggedy with the poly stuff used for very light weight blankets, the kind of material the airlines blankets are made of.
