Beautiful! I like hand applique. It is so relaxing and I feel like I have more control over how the project will look. I haven't done much of it lately because the Christmas gifts need a machine for quick piecing and quilting.TFS.

I am trying to learn hand applique and have not been pleased with any of my methods so far. I have a real problem with those inside corners!!!

I am going to try your method and someone is going to do a class in January so I am still hopeful.

thats a pretty design, your doing a good job with it,
im just getting into qpplique,n also getting addicted to it, everything i see becomes a posable applique pattern, [ i got my cat pattern out of a coloring book! hee hee]

That's what I like about applique -- any simple line drawing can become part of your next applique quilt. Coloring pages can become wonderful inspiration. And if your drawing skills are lacking, then you can claim that your applique style is "primitive." That is a style that is recognizable by its intentionally crude shapes and quaint motifs, which I am really starting to like, for its informal feel.

Jean, Me, too! Those inside corners are bears! The next time I think I'll clip clip clip glue and see if it helps any. Gotta get me a glue stick....
