| Goldie, I'm not sure, but I think your little quilts could also be called miniatures. They are really cute. I think muted is fine for preemies. When our precious preemie was in the PICU, they didn't use any loud/bright quilts/blankets for her to lay on and no seams. It might be different in the NICU. Your little hats are adorable! | Thank you , Sharon. When I contacted the local maternity hospital, they didn't have any requirements or suggestions for preemie quilts. So I have been following some I found on line. They are all backed in flannel which is the side which would be next to the baby. Also, no invisible thread to cut little fingers and no buttons or ties either. Even though I take some shortcuts, I really love making them! goldie |

| What wonderful things you're doing. How kind & generous of you. I knew of baby & premmie quilts as donations, but didn't know about the hats. I hope you are pleased & proud -- if you're not, you should be -- bigtime!! |

| What a great thing for you to do! I like the little quilts and hats. You should be so proud! Not only are you doing for someone else but you're learning something along the way. We hear so much bad news each day that we forget how kind and compassionate most people are. Thanks so much for sharing. ~Geraldine |

| I just discovered this gallery section!!! Your preemie quilts and hats are beautiful. As the mom of a preemie a few years ago, these generous gifts brought such a tremendous feeling of comfort during our long weeks in the NICU with our daughter. My daughter is almost 3.5 now and she still uses her quilt from the NICU and her lovely little hats are tucked away in her memory box. |
