Kay's Mexican Tiles

Posted by rosajoe (My Page) on

This is the pattern Kay generously gave to anyone asking for her Mexican Tiles. I made this one to use on my daybed. It is hand quilted and the Snails' Trails were PP'd, I loved the finished look but the 6" blocks were a pain.
I played with embroidery quilting blocks on the border, some I liked and some I did not. The ironic thing is that the ones I purchased I will never use again (hated them and may take them out!!!!) and the 4 that I loved were absolutely free on another forum. I will purchase from them now!!!!!!

Rosa,
This is so bright. I really like it.
I have never tried embroidery quilt blocks. Did you do them and then put them together or do you put your quilt together then emboidery on the border?
Your hand quilting is very nice.
