Houston Quilt Show

I am excited. I am going this weekend to the Houston International Quilt Show. It has become a yearly trip for my DD and me. This year my sister is also going with us. I think this is the 4th year. It is absolutely so great you have to see it to understand. I know many of you have wonderful shows in your area but if you live within driving distance of Houston it is worth the trip.

I'd say I'd tell all about it when I get home but nothing I could say will do it justice. We always take pictures but they just can't be as good as seeing it for yourself.

Well, everyone it was wonderful!!
We got to go two days this year and we still did not adequately cover everything. And we agreed we were on overload by the end of the day. So much to see and too much to comprehend. My daughter will download the pictures soon.
One extremely interesting display was done by a Canadian. It consisted of a few hundred works in about 8 inch squares representing countries that have immigrants living in Canada. There were some really beautiful works. Those could not be photographed.
And then there were vendors and vendors and more vendors!

It was great!

Sally, I have been viewing some of the quilts, and they just blow your mind. the fashion show is up on Bernia's web site, and I'll have to look for the link to "ruby slippers" where the winners are. Envey,envey, LOL Rene
