Homeschool, no way, not sure I could have done that. Maybe until the 2nd. or 3rd. grade. Now, I love to can, it was always so rewarding. I don't have room for a garden anymore. Canning jars??? Just ask me, I have a ton, all sizes. I just can't let go of them. It's hard to pass them up at the church rummage sale, or at yard sales.

* Just a thought, I'm sure you could work a little sewing into the HS program. Don't they all have to take some Home Ec., or around her it's now called family and consumer science or something like that. Using rulers, now thats math, hmmmm... seems to me you might have to be a little creative! Wish you well.

Yes, we are sewing for Home Ec this year. I also am counting the time we spend canning. I will be buying each girl her own Blue Ball book for their hope chests.
I've canned more this year than ever. Yesterday we canned 21 quarts of peaches and 13 quarts of spaghetti sauce. I have 1 more bushel of peaches then a break until applesauce!

I have to get working again on my creative challenge and my Christmas partner project. At least I know what I HAVE to do.
