Heading on vacation...

Tomorrow, after ice skating lessons, packing, and settling the dogs, I'll be taking the kids and heading to the Jersey shore for the weekend!

But since tomorrow is likely to be a bit crazy, thought I'd spread the news now while I'm thinking about it. Need to get my butt moving and do the laundry & start packing!! lol

I'll check back in Sunday night or Monday morning. Don't get too much done while I'm away!! LOL (I'm taking 2 charity quilts that need binding sewn down...hopefully that'll get done)

That sounds like fun. Where on the Jersey Shore do you go? My son lives there. I hope the weather holds for you. Have a safe trip!

My extended family still has a few houses in Normandy Beach, NJ where my mom used to spend summers growing up. I've gone every summer as a kid for a week or two. Now I try to get my kids up there at least one time each summer...usually only for a long weekend however.

My DD 6 says to me today "I'm so excited! I've waited a whole year for this!!" LOL

Have a great time! Making memories is so special. I've only read about going to the shore.
We are blessed to live on the water. It is a canal that goes to the bayou and out to the lake. We have our GC every summer for a week or so. This summer my sister came for a couple of days with her grandchildren while mine were here. This morning my niece whose children came told me her 9 year old son wants to take their vacation at our house next summer. Makes me feel good.
