I found the 'Smiles for Children' organization my accident. Of course I joined LOL!!!!!
It was founded in 1967(?) and the volunteers make toys for children all over the world that normally would not receive gifts.
I am making Christmas tic tac toe boards with santa and present pieces. They are for the Philippines and have to be mailed before June 20 so I have been busy.
They are adorable!!!

RE: Smiles Charity

I think it is a great way to volunteer and gift to children worldwide. I know many people feel we should be doing for our 'own' but this organization does for all, so I am happy!!
Any child has a soft spot in my heart.
Many embroider, but they also sew 8x8 totes and other items without embroidery. And baby doll quilts!!!
They are a warm group of givers, same as the members of GW.
