| Totally blew that one last week. I went in for a 6-mon. follow-up mammogram. When I had my annual mammogram six months ago, the radiologist had me come back for more shots one one side and after looking at those I was asked to come back in 6 months. I was a bit nervous when I went in last week. When the woman at the registration desk asked me to fill out the history form, which I had done (again) during my annual test, I told them I had just done it 6 months ago and that nothing had changed. The woman at the check in said they wanted me to fill it out again. After I repeated that nothing had changed in the last 6 months she said "well the doctor wants it." I told her that I was in quite a hurry and I asked they just note "no changes" on the previous one (or let me do it). When she said, in what sounded to me like a very cavalier fashion, "Oh, we don't save those," I got mad, and said, not very nicely -- "Well, isn't that wonderful. Seems like it can't be very worthwhile use of my time then." Then I went and sat in the waiting area. In a minute, I felt bad about it, knowing she's just doing what she's been instructed to do but..... |
