| I recently removed an above ground pool and replaced it with a paver patio. Now, I'm left with a deck that was cut around 1/3 of the pool, that opens up to nothing, just the patio below. I would like to build oversized "stadium seating" stairs that go down to the patio. The height of the deck is such that a 6 step stringer would fit perfectly, however I want something like 3 oversized steps for sitting around the patio. Does anyone have suggestions how to do this? Ideally I would use oversized stringers, but that would require boards larger than 2x12. |

| The easiest way to make custom size stairs (especially since there are only 3 steps) is to make box stairs. |
